What is in Ceylo's Medical pack?
Ceylo ships a Medical vocabulary pack that loads clinical language before each dictation, so the speech model expects those words rather than their everyday sound-alikes. It raises the odds of the right spelling. It is not a guarantee, it does not check a dose, and it does not read the note back to you.
- Assessment and course: anamnesis, diagnosis, prognosis, symptoms, chronic, acute, inflammation, infection, recovery.
- Investigations and values: CT, MRI, ultrasound, ECG, imaging, biopsy, lab results, blood pressure, saturation, hemoglobin.
- Care and pathway: dosage, prescription, antibiotics, vaccination, referral, follow-up, surgery, anesthesia, triage, discharge, ICU, ER.
Can Ceylo dictate into our clinic software?
Ceylo types into whichever window already has focus, so the text lands in a records system, a browser tab, a Word letter or a legacy Windows application with no integration of any kind. Ceylo puts the whole transcript in at once rather than typing it letter by letter, and it opens no window of its own. There is no plugin for any records system, and Ceylo reads nothing from your screen: it only writes where your cursor is.
Does patient audio go anywhere?
Ceylo transcribes on your own hardware, so patient audio and the transcript stay in files on your computer. Ceylo has no account system, so there is no profile and no copy on our side. Ceylo does reach the network to fetch a speech model, check for updates and keep licensing honest, and none of that traffic carries audio or text. The Privacy page keeps the full list, and it is the page to hand a compliance officer.
Can Ceylo teach itself the drugs and names I actually use?
Ceylo's My Terms list holds names and jargon you want spelled correctly: a formulary you prescribe from, a colleague's surname, a device or a local abbreviation. Your own terms always outrank the Medical pack, so nothing you added is dropped to make room for something Ceylo shipped. A single context sentence about your work is available too, which tells the model what field it is listening to.
Where Ceylo does not fit clinical work
Ceylo is a dictation tool and nothing more. Several things a clinic might reasonably expect are simply absent:
- Ceylo is not a certified medical product and makes no compliance claim. There is no attestation and no business associate agreement to sign, because there is no processor handling your content. Whether that satisfies your institution is your institution's decision, not ours.
- Ceylo does not structure a note. It types the words you say into the field you chose. It fills no template, codes nothing and extracts nothing.
- Ceylo does not check what you dictated. A misheard drug name or a misheard number reads exactly like any other word.
- Ceylo runs on Windows 10 and 11 only.
