Ceylo is a Windows desktop application with a Free plan and a Pro plan, and no team tier at all. For a small company that is mostly good news: there is nothing to procure, nothing to provision and nobody to ask. This page is the arithmetic and the rollout reality, so the decision takes five minutes instead of a call. There is no call to book.

What does Ceylo cost per person?
Ceylo Pro is $8 a month, $79 a year, or $149 once, per license, and one license covers three computers. At the monthly rate the one-time price works out at about 19 months, and it includes every update in the 1.x series. There is no volume discount and no seat pooling: each person holds their own license, bought at the listed price.
What does rolling Ceylo out involve?
Ceylo needs nothing that looks like a rollout. Each person downloads the same installer, runs it, picks a speech model inside the app, and either stays on the free plan or activates a key. There is no configuration to push, no console to stand up and no packaged deployment. Ceylo shows a license holder which machines their own key is on, and there is no organization view above that and nothing that reports one person's activity to another.

Can we try it before spending anything?
Every Ceylo install starts with 14 days of everything unlocked, meetings included, with no card and no account. When the trial ends Ceylo keeps working on the free plan, 15 dictations a month, no time limit, and nothing recorded during the trial is locked away. So an evaluation costs one download and about a minute of setup, and the buying decision can wait until somebody has actually used it for a fortnight.
What about customer calls and investor meetings?
Ceylo transcribes any call playing through your PC, including Google Meet, Zoom and Teams, by recording your microphone on one track and your computer's audio on the other. No bot joins, so nothing appears in the participant list of a call with a customer or an investor. Meetings are part of Ceylo Pro. The transcript labels the two sides rather than naming people, and telling the room stays your job.
Where Ceylo will slow a small team down
The friction is real and it is all in the same place: Ceylo has no concept of a team.
- Purchasing is one license at a time, and expensing is one receipt at a time. There is no invoice for five seats because there are no seats.
- There is no shared workspace. Transcripts live on the machine that made them, so sharing one means sending a file.
- Windows 10 and 11 only, which is a real problem if half the team is on a Mac.
- No API, no webhook and no integration surface. Ceylo is a desktop application, not a service you can build on.
